At Faros Design, modular construction is our preferred building method. It delivers the precision, efficiency, and performance that coastal homes demand—while giving our clients a faster, cleaner, and more reliable path from concept to completion.

Modular construction is one of the most sustainable ways to build. It naturally reduces waste, reuses materials, and minimizes the impact on the job site. The result is a home that lowers energy costs and shrinks your carbon footprint.

Beyond sustainability, modular building also offers major financial benefits compared to traditional on-site construction. Some of these key advantages are highlighted below.

Performance

Modular construction delivers stronger, more resilient homes with better energy efficiency, precision, and coastal durability.

Quality

Factory-controlled building ensures consistent craftsmanship, fewer defects, and higher overall standards than traditional on-site methods.

Cost Savings

Reduced waste, predictable pricing, and efficient workflows help lower total project costs and minimize unexpected expenses.

Time Savings

Modules are built off-site while site work happens in parallel, cutting construction time significantly and speeding up project delivery.

Sustainability

Recycling is a core part of Faros Design’s modular building approach. Material offcuts—such as drywall, cardboard, wiring, and plywood—are carefully collected and sent to appropriate recycling facilities. Even drywall scraps are repurposed into agricultural lime. By reducing waste at every stage, we make each home more sustainable and environmentally responsible.

NO wasted materials

Energy-efficient homes

Energy efficiency is a core principle of Faros Design’s modular building approach. High-performance insulation—such as R-21 exterior walls and R-38 ceilings—creates a tightly sealed, comfortable home from day one. Our standard window packages, including premium Low-E, argon-filled glazing, further reduce energy use and improve year-round performance. These upgrades lower utility costs, strengthen coastal resilience, and reduce environmental impact. When needed, we can also design and build to ENERGY STAR or LEED-certified standards.

Innovation

Using fiberglass pilings as a foundation system in environmentally sensitive areas offers a sustainable and resilient solution These lightweight, durable materials minimize disturbance to the surrounding ecosystem while providing support for structures. Their resistance to rot and corrosion ensures longevity, reducing the need for replacements and maintenance. utilizing fiberglass pilings, we can protect delicate habitats and promote responsible development practices.
