History
A Legacy Redefined

Every lighthouse begins with someone brave enough to light the first flame.
For us, that was Oswaldo Suarez. He left communist Cuba with almost nothing: his skills, his work ethic, and hope for a better life for his family. In America he built that life with his own hands. He became a lead builder at a time when homes were truly handmade, every board measured, cut, and raised by craftsmen who took pride in their work.

His son, Ozzie Suarez, carried that light forward. He founded Faros Design • Build • Remodel on the values his father lived by: care, integrity, and craftsmanship. The company grew the way good reputations do, one home and one family at a time.

In 2020, we lost Ozzie to pancreatic cancer. In the quiet that followed, his son, Aviel, made a promise: the work his father and grandfather started would not end with them.

Aviel didn’t just keep the doors open. He honored them by raising the bar, bringing modern technology into a craft his family had always practiced by hand. Faros Design even named its patented foundation connector, the OzziCap, after his father. Today, Faros Design is a modern design-build studio that pairs thoughtful architecture with durable, high-performance materials. We build coastal homes that are as strong as they are beautiful, made to stand up to the weather for generations.
