It all started with a Cuban immigrant who migrated to the U.S. in 1955 in search of opportunities. While
acquiring experience through other big construction companies he decided to branch off and started his
own remodeling company which was established in 1962. His son, Ozzie Suarez, had the good fortune of
being at construction job sites at very early age of 10 years old and was exposed to many phases of
construction from framing to finish, up until the end of high school.
Post high school, Ozzie Suarez spent 2 years at Porter and Chester Institute of Stratford,CT practicing
architectural design and drafting while simultaneously working the trades in the family business. Shortly
after graduating from Porter and Chester Institute he went to work for Perkin Elmer in Wilton, CT as a
draftsman for approximately 2 1/2 years and then decided to return to construction as a full time partner
with his father. Which was expanding and operated solely on referrals and word of mouth.
Aviel Suarez, the son of Ozzie Suarez, came into the family business at an early age because he
enjoyed being exposed to the construction world and was fascinated with the transformation of structures
and spaces. In high school Aviel took several art classes because he always knew that he wanted to be
involved with design because of his enjoyment in it and his fascination of creating or just simply modifying
things.
After high school Aviel attended Roger Williams University’s School of Architecture in Bristol, RI. As an
undergraduate student he began to merge his abstract imagination with functionality. In the summer and
on winter break he was still working for the family construction business. During his studies at Roger
Williams University he was also fortunate enough to travel the world and experience various cultures and
building typologies.
Aviel has just recently graduated with a BARCH degree and a minor in the History of Art and
Architecture and is eager to continue to help Faros design, build, remodel grow and expand.
“We have encountered all phases of construction from foundation to framing to the final finish.
Complete remodeling of homes and commercial space. Modifications and total remodels of bathrooms
and kitchens have been the main source of our client base in the past several years. Pride and integrity
go into every project. We give unsurpassed attention to detail and honor the opportunity to work on
someones’s home or business as if it were our own. These are the characteristics that have allowed us to
operate solely on word of mouth in the past.”
